Today as we read books before naptime, he was a little quieter than usual. I attributed it to his cold and took the opportunity to hold him a little closer, snuggling in to his fuzzy head and warm, squishy body.
"I love you, Mr. Scott," I whispered in his ear. "You are the best bear ever."
He wiggled for a second, and then turned to face me. He had been quiet because he was busy digging in his nose. He fished out a giant booger, examined it, and wiped it carefully on the tip of my nose.
He grinned at me widely. "Here you go, Momb. More boogies," he stated proudly.
And that, folks, is Motherhood in a nutshell. Messy. Sweet, endearing,and full of warm moments, but it occasionally turns your stomach.
