And -- I'm also happy to report my new favorite shopping haunt. With me jobless and a potential new house in our future (pleasepleasepleaseplease), I've tightened the reigns on our spending. Gone are the luxurious afternoons spent browsing the shoe department at Nordstrom's. I've replaced them with long days at Kohl's, the "new" Nordstom's. And they have some nice stuff! Great prices, too. Sheesh. Had I found this place earlier, I might have saved myself a fortune.
I was able to pick up a nice, streamlined black messenger bag that will double as my new diaper bag. I was originally so excited about my Kate Spade navy striped bag -- but it is way too bulky to be conveinent. I'm realizing I'm more of a 'hands-free' kind of gal. So my $14.99 nylon bag will suffice and it fits over my head and around my body, ensuring I have two hands available for baby-wrangling at all times. Scotty's not getting any smaller...
Tomorrow is my haircut (cannot wait!) AND Brian and I have our first post-baby date night on Friday. I'm not quite sure what we'll do, but it is exciting to think about. Maybe we'll go to a real restaurant. With waiters and stuff. And no strollers. No whimpering babies. I can't wait!
