We even do it with baby-sitters. "What time did the baby wake up?" "Is the baby in a good mood?" "How is the baby doing right now?"
Kind of obnoxious, I agree. It's not like we have other children in the house and Scotty is the youngest; he's the only one. It's obvious who we are referring to.
Recently, however, I've noticed a shift in Brian's vernacular. All of a sudden, it's "the Boy." "The boy and I are going to the grocery store." "I let the boy push the cart." "The boy did a great job in the produce section, so I bought him another ball."
(Brian never sticks to the list. ::sigh::)
Technically, I guess this shift is true. It's very sweet and a good sign that our little guy is growing up. But it's making me all mushy and sentimental. But I'm happy too, since lots of good things are waiting for him, but...
just don't grow up too fast, okay?
