I put myself on a self-imposed housing break for the next week (the flooring people are working, so we cannot go over to the new house). Everything is done, for the most part; now, we just sit and wait. So, I'm trying to decompress this week and hang out with the Bear. Our quality time will involve NOT running to the faucet store or having lunch in the aisles of Sears.
Occasionally, though, when we don't have a planned day of activities, I find that Scotty and I get a little...bored. I mean, you can only read through the board books so many times. We've been to the park, we've hit the grocery store, gone on a walk, played with Mr. Cow, Mr. Frog, and Chives and then we look at each other like...what now?
I am always trying to come up with fun and new things to do or play with. So today, after our lunchtime cheese platter, we played War. With his turtles. See below.

English Turtles
They fought like warrior poets, they fought like Scotsmen and won their freedom
I'm not quite sure who won, though I would put money on the turtles. Tummy time once again felled the Bear before he was able to really inflict any damage on the turtles' forces. But then my camera battery died and wasn't able to capture any more on film.
So this is what I do all day. I stage imaginary battles between my son and plastic turtles. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
