As noted in the previous post, Kim thought for sure baby B would be here last night. Well, he has decided to wait until this evening instead. Kim merely jumped the gun by 24 hrs. This AM she had her routine NST at Dick's office. They decided to do a cervical check which showed some 'interesting' findings leading to a conference call with George. Geroge and Dick finally got on the same page, only took 37 weeks and 2 day for them to decided baby B is ready to get introduced into the new world.
Kim headed from Dick's office over the hospital to be officially induced. As I write, she has an IV, Pitossin started and folks, we are off to the races. The day Kim and Brian have longed for has finally come...now the waiting game begins! As of 2:30 PST, Kim was 3 cm dilated, quite comfortable and awfully chipper. I warned her this was not going to last (just wait until the Pitossin starts working) and she should call everyone now! The plan is to delivery naturally unless something comes up. She expects to get her epidural around 5 cm and George's guess is baby B will make his appearence sometime this evening. Kim did inform George that my C-section is scheduled for tomorrow 07:30PST which he promptly replied we will definitely beat that time!
So it is offical, labor has begun and baby B will be here shortly. Anyone like to start a 'pot' as to when?!? I have been given the responsibility to update the blog as information is available, a job which I will do unless my water break, then off the hospital I will go. However, I have no doubt baby Ben has no problems giving this day to baby B. Happy early birthday baby B and who would have guessed our son's birth's will be less than 24 hr apart.
My final thought...our poor mother. Both of her daughters deliverying her new grand children less than 24 hours apart and neither one of us in the state of IN. She too, can take comfort in knowing that the stress of both of our pregnancies for her will be over soon. To the next stage...let the fun begin... newborns!!!
PS- I can not figure out how to spell check this, so if there are spelling errors, I am sorry! I am lost without my spellcheck!
