I bought Brian's birthday card at the grocery store today (it's in walking distance - no Hallmark store for us these days) and Scotty was just starting to fuss when we were in the card aisle. I grabbed two (one from me, one from Scotty) and just re-read the one from Scotty. It has a picture of a big hand holding a little hand. Perfect, right? No. It says,
"Although I don't need to hold your hand these days,
I'll always hold you in my heart."
Whoops.
So I crossed out 'although,' 'need to' and wrote in parenthesis, after the word 'days,' "Because I do not yet know how to grasp things,"
That's makes it okay, right?
Next year's birthday will be better. Sorry, Brian.
